The online workshop ‘Success stories of female executives in the transport industry’, taking place on 4th March 2021, 11:00 – 12:30 CET, is organised by Coventry University.

It will be attended by Charmaine Swan, Principal Research Analyst at Transport for West Midlands, leading a team of analysts developing strategic evidence for operational, planning, and policy, Ali Bell, Head of external communications at National Express, an intercity and Inter-regional coach operator providing services throughout Great Britain and Clare Linton, Policy and Research Advisor at Urban Transport Group, the UK’s network of city region transport authorities that aims to ensure that transport plays its full part in making city regions greener, fairer, happier, healthier and more prosperous places.

The workshop, which is part of the European TInnGO project, is free of charge and targets people who are interested to listen to the experiences of female executives in the transport industry, to people starting their professional career in technology and engineering areas related to transport, and to students on degrees and engineering courses whose knowledge is applicable to the transport sector. It aims to address the factors that cause the gender balance in the transport industry as well as possible mechanisms and strategies to achieve greater gender equality, emphasising the diverse realities that exist among the female community. The idea is to promote debate on equal employment opportunities based on the experiences of the speakers.
