The TInnGO project brings together 20 experienced and committed partners from 13 EU countries (comprising seven universities and research institutes, four municipalities and nine transport consultancies), in a €4 million, three years research project.

1. COVENTRY UNIVERSITY (Coordinator) (CU)

Coventry University has a long tradition as a provider of education with roots going as far back as Coventry College of Design in 1843. Founded as an industrial university focused on the skilling of the local community to meet the needs of major multinational companies in Coventry and the Midlands the University now prides itself for its tradition of industry facing research that is developed through close collaboration with companies and meets international excellence standards.

2. Copenhagen University (UCPH)

The Co-ordination for Gender Research is an interdisciplinary unit located at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen (Denmark), which ranks among the 100 best universities in the world. The Co-ordination has a strong record in the interdisciplinary field of gender research and has pioneered new research and education in gender and transport, China studies, and the use of big data and quantitative methodology. Besides that, the Co-ordination for Gender Research has provided high-level expertise for Danish and European research agencies on the gender dimension in research and innovation.

4. F.K. Liotopoulos & SIA EE (SBOING)

Based in Thessaloniki (Greece), SBOING.net is an innovative, collaborative ICT SME, implementing mobile technologies for the collection, processing and distribution of traffic data to provide improved routing capabilities for GPS navigation. Since its establishment in 2009, SBOING has acquired strong expertise in navigation and mapping technologies. Based on a multi-patented methodology, SBOING has developed sbNavi™, a GPS navigation app, together with additional smartphone and web applications and systems, all aiming to establish a global, collaborative society of Transport users.

Its strategic objective is to rapidly evolve into a noticeable player of international caliber in the market of satellite navigation software applications and services, with high visibility and a large, active user-community.

5. Interactions Limited (INTER)

Based in Ireland, Interactions Ltd is an SME established in 1993. A research organisation specialising in sustainability, Interactions works with local authorities, government authorities, transport operators, and private clients. We are highly experienced in European research projects, with expertise in dissemination, communications and evaluation.

In the TInnGO project, Interactions is Work Package Leader for Evaluation (WP10), leading activities on project evaluation, as well as focusing on the outputs, outcomes and impacts of the hubs and the individual workpackages. We are also responsible for dissemination and communications on social media.

Based in Bucharest (Romania), Integral Consulting R&D (INTECO) is an SME, a research-development organization in the line of sustainable transport and rolling stock, highly experienced in national and European research projects (26 proposals submitted in the period 2007-2018 in European programmes, out of which 9 contracted, in partnership with 153 companies from 33 countries).

7. Smart Continent LT UAB (SC)

Smart Continent is a policy research and management consulting interdisciplinary firm located in North Europe and operating in Vilnius and Riga’s offices which works as separate legal entities. Smart Continent’s main fields of research are environment, sustainable transport, safe and secure mobility and logistics as well as renewable energy and innovations. Smart Continent participated in research projects of several European programs: Airport 2050+, METPEX, PORTIS, SUITS. Smart Continent was subcontractor in wide list of policy evaluation and analytics projects for EC DG Move, EU Parliament.

8. Technische Universitaet Ilmenau (TUIL)

The Technische Universität Ilmenau (TUIL) holds leading inter-/national positions in selected fields of competence both in basic research and in applied research. Within the project the Department of Media Production of the Institute of Media Technology will be involved. It has more than 15 years of experience in the field of human-technology interaction and user-centered development in the field of mobility. Especially passenger and mobility information, networked mobility, and service and systems engineering were in the focus of the research.

11. Societal Travel CIC (SOCTR)

Based in Northampton, United Kingdom, SOCIETAL is a community interest company, created to contribute education and research to logistics, social value, transportation and mobility challenges. We expand the work of the University of Northampton’s ‘Institute of Logistics, Infrastructure, Supply and Transport’ (LIST). SOCIETAL aims to further the University’s social impact; targeting the social benefits within its work, delivering empowerment through mobility, well-being from clean air/reduced congestion/healthy transport options, and improved access-generating employment opportunities in key local areas.

16. Krause Juliane Klara Auguste (P&A)

Plan und Rat is a planning and consulting office with a focus on municipal transport planning and expert’s activities in research and development projects. Active since 1995, its activities focus on integrative, social and environmental transport planning. The company conducts basic research on the topics of mobility and cycling promotion, mobility education/safety at school, mobility for children, gender planning, studies on traffic safety and the requirements of nonmotorized road users. Plan & Rat has specific experience with qualitative survey methods, concepts and the moderation of participation processes. more

17. Municipality of Alba Iulia (AIM)

The City Hall of Alba Iulia Municipality is a very dynamic administration open to investors, while the city holds a real potential for economic and tourism development in constant expansion. Alba Iulia Municipality has a population of 74 000 inhabitants and is situated in the Centre part of Romania, being the capital of Alba County (Romania has only county capitals and not regional capitals). The communitarian development along with the creation of conditions for economic and social progress for the whole community is one of the main objectives of the Alba Iulia Municipality. Alba Iulia, The Other Capital, bears a heavy name in the history of Romania due to the important historic event which have left their mark on the city.

Alba Iulia is a city of national importance and it was nominated in 2012 as a European Destination of Excellence, by the EDEN program administered by the European Commission (http://vimeo.com/80578477). EMEL (Empresa Municipal de Mobilidade e Estacionamento de Lisboa) is responsible for managing the concession of Lisbon on-street parking and 22 off-street parking facilities with an extended set of responsibilities in the field of municipal mobility. 19. Comune di Torino (TORINO)

With around 900,000 inhabitants in a 2.2 million-people metropolitan area, Città di Torino is the 4th Italian city by population and the 3rd complex economic pole. Considered the XX century Italian automotive capital, in last decades it is leading a major economic, urban and cultural transformation, starting from the 2006 Winter Olympic Games and exploiting the rich cultural, historical, food & wine heritage and becoming more and more a smart city. Among the Smart city steps, the Traffic Urban Plans for smart mobility since the 90s’, the TAPE-Torino Action Plan for Energy in 2010, the SUMP-Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan in 2011, the Biciplan (about cycling) in 2013, several EU projects about mobility in the last years.

20. West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA)

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) is the transport face of the West Midlands Combined Authority. This public entity is accountable for delivering against a statutory transport plan Movement for Growth, which sets out our ambition to create a happier, healthier and better-connected region through improving transport. It is currently responsible for almost 200 schemes, working in partnership with 7 local authorities and serving a population of 2.8 million.
