*Dr Liz Ablett, University College Dublin.
Liz is queer-feminist sociologist and institutional ethnographer primarily interested in the (re)production of inequalities across both academic and political institutions. She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the transnational ERC-sponsored project at UCD, ‘Beyond Opposition’. The project investigates contemporary oppositions around LGBT and sex/gender rights and equalities in the UK, Canada and Ireland. Prior to joining UCD, Liz was an Early Career Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies at Warwick University, and lectured in the Sociology Dept. She completed her ethnographic PhD in the Sociology Dept at Warwick in 2019, examining persistent inequalities in local politics and the production if new political subjectivities in uncertain times.
